Actually, they’ve been in for a while, but I wasn’t sure what to even say about them.
As a mom, I knew what my baby died from: a broken heart. Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem…..those are the things that killed her. A dad that began ignoring her at age 10, which led to her looking for love and attention from others. A boyfriend who led her to believe that drugs would ease her pain and make everything better.
According to science and doctors, officially it was acute endocarditis caused by IV drug use. A broken heart. There were very little drugs in her system and NO heroin. She was detoxing for her baby girl. There were drugs for anxiety, nausea, and other nasty things that happen to your body when you detox from the most addictive drug known to man.
The doctors sent her home to die with 6 months at the most with no antibiotics. My baby beat that by 3 more months.
No surprise that she had a MRSA embolism in her kidneys (remember that mass that Baptist DeSoto said was just old blood) and in her lungs. She also had what was described as a stroke, a brain infarction. The rest of her organs were healthy.
Her toenails were painted pink…..such a personal note in such a technical report.
Something a mom will never forget.
